Marta Azevedo, student
of the Master in Science Communication at NOVA, won the national final of
FameLab 2013 and will represent Portugal in the final of FameLab, which will
take place in June at the Cheltenham Science Festival in the UK. Vera Manuel
Novais and Valencia also NOVA students, took second and third places.
The FameLab is an
International Scientific Communication which has helped to discover new faces for
the communication of science, as Professor Rogério Martins, Faculty of Sciences
and Technology of NOVA, which presents the program of the CIS "This is
mathematics."
This competition is
supported by the British Council since 2006, and is the most prestigious
international competition for science communication counting 20 participating
countries around the muno. In Portugal takes place for the fourth time.
