Legal Requirements for Study in Portugal
Students
from EU countries do not require visa to enter Portugal. However, they need to
obtain a residence permit if their stay exceeds 90 days. To this must present
your ID / Passport, a statement of financial support and a guarantee of health
care in the Aliens and Frontiers.
Students
from countries outside the European Union must obtain a visa before leaving
their country. To this should contact the Embassy or Consulate Portuguese
existing in their own country.
Upon
arrival in Portugal, foreign students, except those from EU countries should
contact the Aliens and Borders informing your study period at UTL.
The
entrance in Portugal requires no vaccination unless students come from a
geographical area of risk.
EU
citizens should bring your EHIC - European Card of Health Insurance that
guarantees medical assistance through the National Health Service must have
liability insurance to cover personal injuries and damage to property legal.
